Mechanical Integrity 1 Mechanical Integrity 2

Mechanical Integrity

Applied Inspection Systems (AIS) provides three basic formats pertaining to a Mechanical Integrity Program: data acquisition, data entry and program establishment/maintenance. We are capable of tailoring these formats to meet the specific inspection needs of our customers.

  Data Acquisition
Our technicians will work with the customer to establish the specifications for the Thickness Measurement Locations (TML) if the customer does not already have them in place. Applied Inspection Systems (AIS) technicians will take readings in the assigned locations and present them to the customer in an agreed upon format.

  Data Entry
After collecting the necessary data, Applied Inspection Systems (AIS) can incorporate the data into a computer program. Our technicians can utilize any pre-existing programs that the customer may currently be using. If there is no program in place, we can enter the data into our program and generate a written report for the customer's records. These reports include a listing of retirement dates, a summary report, the thickness and visual report data, isometric drawings and a list of areas of concern.

  Program Establishment / Maintenance

The crown jewel of Applied Inspection Systems (AIS) is our ability to create a Mechanical Integrity Program for our customers who do not have an existing program or are not satisfied with their current program. We will discuss the needs of the customer and create a tailor made program for them. We use Quality Control Software's Piping Inspections and Documentation (PID), Pressure Vessel Documentation and Classification (PVDC) and Above Ground Storage Tank Classification and Documentation (AGST) computer programs. Written to the application codes, these programs are user friendly and very thorough.

Once the program has been agreed upon, AIS will collect and enter the data. We will give the customer a written report for their records and also maintain the databases at our office or the customer's specified location. All of our information is stored on cd-rom and archived for future use.
